An Untamed Heart by Lauraine Snelling

WOW! I have read all of Lauraine’s books. All of the Red River series. I enjoyed going back and reading about a young Ingeborg. I enjoyed learing about all the things they needed to do and learn and seeing how Ingeborg would have learned to make rabbit gloves on the Plains and learned to plow fields and do so many things in her 20 years. I’m glad Lauraine took the time to dive back into the early years. I helped give character to those Ingeborg wrote home to and their later appearances in the books.

One would think you would cry at a certain sad part in the book. Maybe my hope was too high? Maybe it wasn’t written well enough for me to believe it? But, don’t worry, I saved my tears for the last 20 pages.  Knowing what was going to happen in the next few books… just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. Losing a loved one is not a happy time whether you are married or not.

I pray Ms. Snelling continues to write such wonderful books. Because I know I will keep reading them!
